About this blog

A blog about family, people, childhood, parenting, work, life, stuff...

Who am I?

Anyone who has been reading this blog will know I've been having a bit of trouble lately figuring out my identity. I wanted to keep this blog anonymous but didn't like just using my initials, which seemed a cop-out. I made up a surname, but that too seemed like a cop-out. I would love to be able to think of a witty pseudonym but I'm afraid nothing suitable has come to mind. So now I'm just Jennifer. It's my real name, although nobody ever calls me that.

To give a bit of context to this blog, here are a few details about me:
  • I'm in my mid-thirties.
  • I'm a mum to three lovely boys - aged 8, 5, and 2.
  • I live in a very nice but very messy home in a great part of Melbourne.
  • I work part-time at a university.
  • I love it that I can cycle to work.
  • I love going to work. It's quiet there.
  • I also love being at home with my kids. But it's chaotic and sometimes very, very noisy.
  • My boys fight a lot.
  • I secretly always wanted to be a writer, but have never been brave enough to put myself 'out there'.
  • I can get a bit worked up about the things that matter to me - family, parenting, how people relate to each other. I like being able to write about this stuff. That's why I've set up this blog.
